Efrain, Jennifer’s husband, contacted me wanting to surprise her with a the gift of art with her and their baby Emma.
I chose to create Jen carrying Emma semi wrapped in a caccoon - pappose like hair composition demonstrating the depth, intimacy, and unity of a mother’s love.

“Three Mothers” portrait of Baby Zephyra, daughter of @Taurminif from Oregon.
Taurmini was in labor for three days with Zephrya at a temperature of 108. Luckily her closest friends, who were essential to baby Zephyra’s birth, were also amazing ladies. Jude (right) works as a midwife, Anne (center) works as a doula, and Catie (left) is a naturopathic doctor and helped her through a rough patch. In an act of gratitude, she commissioned me to create a portrait of them lovingly holding her newborn.
